Dylan Barket Esq.

Dylan George Barket is a trial attorney with Barket Lawyers in Miami, Florida, where his practice focuses on civil litigation, personal injury, first-party property insurance, criminal defense, landlord-tenant litigation, and complex commercial disputes. Since beginning his practice in 2020, Dylan has represented clients in a broad range of high-stakes matters, including federal narcotics prosecutions involving more than 200 kilograms of cocaine, January 6 prosecutions, catastrophic personal injury cases, and complex business litigation. He has tried more than 18 cases to verdict, including three jury trials during the first half of 2026 alone, and is known for his willingness to take cases to trial.  

A third-generation attorney, Dylan comes from a family deeply rooted in the legal profession. His grandfather, George Barket, practiced probate law in Miami, while his father, Tim Barket, built a respected career as a civil litigator. His uncle currently serves as a Miami-Dade County Court Judge, and his second cousin, the Honorable Rosemary Barkett, was the first woman to serve as Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court before being appointed by President Bill Clinton to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Dylan earned his Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and his LL.M. in International Commercial & Business Law from The University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, England. He is admitted to practice in Florida, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Supreme Court of the United States.  

In addition to his trial practice, Dylan has represented clients in precedent-setting insurance coverage disputes, constitutional matters, and international litigation. He currently serves as lead counsel in federal litigation against the Islamic Republic of Iran arising from the kidnapping, torture, and execution of German-American journalist Jamshid Sharmahd. Whether representing an individual, a small business, or a family navigating complex legal issues, Dylan approaches every case with a trial lawyer’s mindset, preparing each matter as if it will ultimately be decided before a jury.
